Belgian Art Deco blue vase with metallic lustre, stepped handles, 1930s

Ovoid vase with a flared neck, glazed in a deep and shiny royal blue, enhanced with gold lustre. Two stylised stepped handles, shaped like overlapping diamonds, frame the shoulder and catch the light. A gold line highlights the edge of the neck. This is a typical example of Belgian production from the 1930s. Streamlined silhouette, bold colour, and geometric gold accents: all the Art Deco vocabulary combined in a simple and elegant piece. The interior is glazed in deep blue. A vase that works well both alone, as a decorative object, and with a bouquet. Marking. No visible mark under the base. Dimensions.
