Large old trading post

Made in Lyon in the 1930s by the Pamega company (original plaque visible on the front), this piece of furniture embodies French craftsmanship from the interwar period. The oak veneer front features twelve elegant display compartments with patinated brass edges. It is equipped with an authentic Gardor cash drawer with double security, featuring a combination lock and a mechanical alarm with a bell—a rare and highly collectible detail. The back includes four large drawers, a pull-out drawer, two central drawers, and several open storage spaces. The solid pine top has been replaced to be perfectly smooth and functional. The glass front, lined with mirrors, was designed to showcase the merchandise on display. This majestic counter, both functional and steeped in history, would be perfect for a luxury boutique, concept store, or high-end showroom seeking to combine authenticity and character.
