Thistles footed dish/compotier DATURA model (Jules VIEILLARD Bordeaux)

Antique footed dish/compotier, this model is called "datura" made by the famous french earthenware manufacturer jv & cie jules vieillard, in terre de fer, around the mid and late 1800s in bordeaux. Stamped on the back of the board by the manufacturer j. Vieillard & co "datura, bordeaux - jv & cie". They bear a typical bordeaux mark 'scapulaire'. The crescent: allusion to the semi-circular shape of the port of the moon. In its own juice, several chips on the edge which have been reworked to see (see photos). Dimensions: diameter: 22.5cm height: 4cm weight: 460gr.
