French wall tapestry Jacquard - La Filandiere

Beautiful French wall tapestry depicting a gallant pastoral scene, animated with elegant characters in a bucolic landscape featuring sheep, abundant vegetation, and classical architectural elements, including a fountain with cherubs... The decor is inspired by the gallant scenes of the 18th century, in the spirit of Watteau and Boucher, highly appreciated in classical interiors and country houses. This tapestry was made in France on a Jacquard loom by La Filandière, a recognised textile manufacturer. It is signed on the back La Filandière (Paris), a registered trademark, and includes its printed guarantee certificate on the reverse, attesting to a production based on authentic iconographic documents.
