Wooden travel trunk, 1930s

Antique wooden travel trunk dating from the 1930s with a superb patina. Two labels are still present: an SNCF label from Lourdes station and a second, handwritten label indicating a Saintes-Dax route on August 31, 1954. On the opposite side, there is an old trace of glue, a faint hint of a third label. All the hardware is original: the handles and latch have been coated with black anti-rust paint. The presence of screw holes on the sides indicates that the trunk was sealed in this way during travel. It is in good vintage condition, with numerous dents and scuffs on the underside. Both decorative, charming, and practical, it is ideal for storage (textiles, toys, etc.) in a bedroom. Dimensions: 71.5 X 33 X 36 cm. Carefully packaged.
