Very pretty little antique jug from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, French craftsmanship in Puisaye stoneware, hand-thrown. Neck and handle glazed with ash, dark brown in color, with drips at the back and drops at the front. Raw body in natural brown and gray tones, simply glazed. Pot-bellied body and small short trumpet-shaped neck with short spout, pretty thin handle on the top. Approximately 23 cm in maximum height and 15 cm in diameter at the widest point. General condition of use, numerous traces of time, traces of friction, small chips on the body, the neck/spout and the base, some scratches also, relatively harmonious whole corresponding to its age. Note the imprint of the ceramist's thumb pressed into the base, further evidence of its artisanal manufacture. Approximately 900 g.
