Art Deco White Earthenware Mermaid Bowl "300" by Mari Simmulson for Upsala-Ekeby

This rare Art Deco mermaid bowl was designed by Mari Simmulson for Upsala-Ekeby between 1950 and 1952. The bowl features intricate details, including a swordfish, water lilies, bubbles, and a mermaid. Its four feet are beautifully crafted to resemble water lily leaves. The underside is marked with 'Ekeby 300' and 'Maris'. Dimensions: Width 32.5 cm, Height 9 cm. The piece is in good condition with wear consistent with age and use. Origin: Sweden.
