Elegant Japanese Kutani porcelain cache-pot mounted in bronze, antique, Meiji period, late 19th century or very early 20th century. Beautiful baluster shape with richly hand-painted decoration in red, gold, and polychrome tones, depicting birds, flowers, and foliage in finely adorned reserves, with an elegant bronze mount featuring side handles and an upper rim. Painted mark under the base. Height 16.5 cm for the pot alone, 19 cm to the top of the handles, maximum width 30 cm with handles, maximum diameter approximately 20-22 cm, opening 14 cm in diameter. Very good overall condition, only slight wear and discreet fading in places, as well as a few small traces of oxidation on the bronze mount, discreetly, with recent stripping. The upper rim has slight play; it is recommended not to handle the piece by the handles. It should be noted that there is no bronze support.
