Hans J. Wegner PP203 "First Chair" for PP Møbler

The carpenter, architect, and furniture designer designed this chair in 1969. The PP203 marked the beginning – hence the name "First Chair" – of the long and fruitful collaboration between Wegner and PP. His work focused on the combination of functionality, craftsmanship, and the use of natural materials. Wegner's oeuvre includes over 500 chairs, earning him the informal title of "Master of the Chair." He is one of the key figures of "Danish modernism" and has shaped this style like no other.
