Pair of dragonfly wall sconces from the Art Nouveau period - bronze by Charles Ranc

Very beautiful pair of Art Nouveau wall sconces. Made of bronze by the Parisian company Charles Ranc, founded in 1909 by the Ardéchois Charles Eugène Frédéric RANC at 64 rue de la Folie Méricourt. The Ranc company is distinguished by the quality of its bronzes and fine chiselling work. A beautiful production of lighting fixtures that continued with his sons after the founder's death. The Charles Ranc company then became Ranc Frères. The company's address was moved in 1930 to 97 rue Oberkampf in Paris. The stamp is affixed to the back of one of the sconces (see last photo). Original patina, perfect condition. The wall part is decorated with a dragonfly, flowers, and foliage, typical of Art Nouveau. The claws are adorned with acanthus leaves. Supplied with translucent tulips in the shape of flowers; recently made of glass paste, perfect condition. Electricity installed and tested, new wires (for E14 bulb). Careful packaging guaranteed.
