Very beautiful pair of single-light wall sconces from the Art Nouveau period. Made of bronze by the Parisian company Charles Ranc, founded in 1909 by the Ardéchois Charles Eugène Frédéric RANC at 64 rue de la Folie Méricourt. The Ranc company is distinguished by the quality of its bronzes and fine chiselling work. A beautiful production of lighting fixtures that continued with his sons after the founder's death. The Charles Ranc company then became Ranc Frères. The company's address was moved in 1930 to 97 rue Oberkampf in Paris. The stamp is affixed to the back of the sconces (see the last photo). Gilding and patina, in very good condition. The wall part features a peacock, typical of Art Nouveau. The claws are adorned with acanthus leaves. Supplied with amber-coloured tulips; recently made of glass paste; note a tiny chip of glass on one petal (see the second to last photo with the blue circle). Electricity installed and tested, new wires (for E14 bulb). Careful packaging guaranteed. Delivery by Colissimo Recommended to your home. Dimensions: Height: 30.50 cm. Width: 14.20 cm. Depth with tulips: 21.00 cm. Diameter of tulips: 11.00 cm. Total weight: 2.70 kg.
