Scandinavian armchair by Aksel Bender Madsen for Bovenkamp, 1950

**Beautiful original Scandinavian armchair designed by Aksel Bender Madsen in the 1950s for Bovenkamp. A timeless mid-century piece with elegant proportions and exceptional craftsmanship.** Purchased approximately 20 years ago from a vintage store in Barcelona and carefully maintained ever since. This chair remains in very good condition and is ready to enhance any interior. 🪑 **Design Details:** Classic mid-century structure in oak with distinctive wraparound teak armrests. Features its original woven wool upholstery in a refined beige and brown colour combination, showcasing authentic period character. 📏 **Measurements:** Width: 66 cm. Depth: 77 cm. Height: 99 cm. 🧼 **Condition:** Very good overall condition. There are normal signs of age and use, including wear to the headrest cord and base of the legs, as well as a small scratch and minor surface cracks on the armrests, which are stable and typical of aged solid wood, with no impact on the chair’s structural integrity. (please see photos). The underside fabric backing shows a minor section with loosened staples, a discreet and easily restorable detail that does not affect structure or comfort (see photo). Structurally solid and extremely comfortable. A highly comfortable and elegant lounge chair, perfect for a living room, office, or reading corner. A true collector’s piece and a wonderful example of classic Scandinavian design.
