This is the Edith (ladies’) armchair by designers Arnold Madsen and Henry Schubell for Bovenkamp. A 1960s design featuring a characteristic organic shape and a beautifully sculpted wooden frame. The armchair has largely new internal padding and has been reupholstered in a warm, wool-blend upholstery fabric. A comfortable designer armchair full of character! Bovenkamp was a leading furniture manufacturer in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, renowned for its high-quality, organically shaped wooden armchairs. It represents a blend of Dutch and Scandinavian design—a favorite among Mid-Century design enthusiasts! An identical ladies’ model is available in the same style but a different (sand) color fabric. Please see my other listings. Quantity: this item is unique and only 1 in stock. Period: 1960s. Designer/ brand: Arnold Madsen & Henry Schubell – Bovenkamp. Origin: the Netherlands. Condition: reupholstered; shows very minor signs of use conform age. Measurements: 100 cm high, 41 cm seat height, 65 cm wide and 65 cm deep.
