Very beautiful painting of the English countryside (located near Sudbury, a town in the Babergh district of Suffolk, England, close to the county of Cornard) executed in oil on cardboard panel, presumably by James Emery (1819-1899) - see photo of the signature. There are numerous indications on the back of the work, including location details, gallery labels, etc. Very fine craftsmanship, particularly bright and in good condition, the varnish may require a light cleaning - everything is visible in the photos, which are contractual. The frame is included (of the period, with some wear and minimal touch-ups). Dimensions of the panel: 17.5 / 24.5 cm, with frame: 35 / 41 cm.
