Style & Era: Beautiful trumeau mirror in Louis XV style, made in the second half of the 19th century (Napoleon III / Third Republic period). Decor: Openwork pediment with rich shell and scroll decorations, moulding adorned with a row of pearls. Structure & Back: Frame in wood and stucco. Original fir backing, very sound and solid. Finish: Beautiful golden patina from use with natural wear revealing the gesso in places. Cleaned and restored with respect to the old patina, ready to hang. Glass: Mirror with glass (replaced later), showing two small, very localized oxidation spots in the centre, adding a lot of charm (visible in close-up in one of the photos). Dimensions: Glass: 46.5x137cm. Frame: 61x163x4cm. Condition: Overall good structural condition. Signs of age, small losses and wear on the gilding consistent with its age, giving it all its character.
