Louis XV period commode in solid oak from the 18th century – Dated 1760 (Fleur de Lys) – Sandblasted finish Superb and authentic 18th-century commode (provincial Louis XV), opening with 3 large drawers in solid oak. A fine engraving representing a fleur de lys and the date 1760 is visible inside one of the drawers, attesting to its period and history. The front features superb moulded cartouches typical of 18th-century regional cabinetmaking, enhanced by its original or period gilded brass fittings. Condition: It has been fully sandblasted, revealing a magnificent raw blonde oak, healthy and bright. You can choose to leave it as is in its natural state (wabi-sabi trend / chic country house), wax it, or apply a protective matte varnish. Note: The four legs have undergone an old graft (repair), a common restoration on antique furniture that does not detract from its perfect solidity and stability. Sold in its beautiful state of use and authenticity. Dimensions: Width: 134 cm Depth: 67 cm Height: 96 cm
