Modernist coffee table in wood and smoked glass.

This table serves as a side table or a brutalist/modernist coffee table from the 1980s, made of stained solid pine with a smoked glass top, in a style similar to the Italian design of Silvio Coppola. In good condition with some signs of wear on the structure, minor barely visible scuffs. The removable smoked glass top is in good vintage condition with minimal signs of use. Height of the top is 36cm. Imposing design that catches the eye. This piece is a work inspired by modernist and brutalist styles from the 1970s/1980s, with the specific designer remaining uncredited. However, due to its geometric architectural structure in solid pine and its bold joinery, its style clearly aligns with the tastes of famous creators from that era: • Silvio Coppola: His aesthetic signature can be seen in the massive and angular treatment of the pine wood, very similar to the seating he designed for publishers like Fratelli Montina or Roche Bobois. • Tobia Scarpa: The play of sharp geometric cutouts and the integration of an inset glass top strongly recall Scarpa's structural explorations in wooden furniture.
