Leather banquettes

Attributed to the "cubus" lineage of Joseph Hoffmann, the Austrian architect, and made in the Wittmann workshops. There are difficulties in deciphering the signature, but these two benches certainly belong to the artisanal context in which these men immersed themselves (refusal of mechanical assistance) — just simplicity, honesty, and seriousness, as Hoffmann himself said... Yves Saint Laurent had chosen to furnish his presentation salons with, among other things, this pair of very decorative upholstered benches in excellent condition. We retrieved them from one of his warehouses, carefully packaged.
