Ancient tapestry on canvas completed. The scene, set in the 18th century, depicts a wealthy lady seated at her dressing table, reading a letter, while her maid offers her jewellery. A few cherubs hover above, giving an allegorical meaning to the scene. The canvas requires cleaning. It is presented in a frame from the late 19th century.
