We are delighted to offer for sale this superb chest of drawers stamped F. Thomas Halesowen, in Sheraton Revival style, made of Victorian mahogany and satinwood. A very aesthetic, well-designed, and decorative chest, created in a two-over-three format, based on a Georgian design with Sheraton details throughout. More than just a piece of furniture, it is a work of art. In terms of condition, we have cleaned, waxed, and polished it from top to bottom. It shows signs of age-related patina and use, as well as some losses of wood in places visible in the photos. Therefore, it is not perfect for a gallery, which justifies its price. A complete restoration with a French polisher is possible at professional rates for the new owner. Dimensions: Height: 99.5 cm, Width: 95.5 cm, Depth: 50 cm (measurements taken at the widest points). Vintage and original period items, such as leather seating, always exhibit a natural patina in the form of creases and wear. Annual waxing is recommended to prevent moisture loss. Additionally, hand-dyed leather should not be exposed to direct sunlight for too long to avoid drying out and discolouration.
