Accolay ceramic pitcher from the 1950s. France. Founded in 1945 in the Yonne region by four former students of Alexandre Kostanda, the Accolay pottery is renowned for its bold and innovative ceramics. Their collaboration with Christian Dior for the New Look collection catapulted their reputation. Their production is distinguished by organic forms, colorful glazes, and motifs inspired by ethnic art. The pieces, often signed with a double "A, " include vases, masks, and wire figurines. Although the workshop closed in 1989, their creations remain sought after by collectors and symbolize the revival of post-war French ceramic design. Dimensions: height 18 cm, diameter 16 cm.
