Tripod wooden farmhouse chair

Tripod peasant chair in wood, rural French work from the Alpine or Jura regions. France, circa 1880. Antique three-legged turned chair, typical of rustic seating used in farms and workshops in mountainous areas. The cut-out clover patterns at the ends and the wide shaped seat testify to artisanal craftsmanship. Total height: 85 cm. Seat height: 43 cm. Width: 55 cm. Depth: 40 cm. Beautiful patina. Two reinforcing screws on the back of the backrest, later additions.
