Round coffee table made of solid pine featuring a top composed of wide planks with pronounced grain. It rests on a turned central pedestal in a baluster shape, ending in three feet, with the whole being reinforced under the top by an original tripod metal plate ensuring good rigidity. With its rustic aesthetic in solid pine and tripod base, this table evokes Scandinavian chalet furniture or “sportstuga, ” developed in Nordic countries for holiday homes in the mid-20th century. It particularly recalls certain creations by Swedish designer Axel Einar Hjorth made for the publisher Nordiska Kompaniet in the 1930s–1940s, as well as some solid pine works by Danish designer Rainer Daumiller. However, the construction and certain details suggest a later production, likely in the second half of the 20th century, in the spirit of these Nordic models. Dimensions: diameter approximately 65 cm, height approximately 45 cm. Overall good condition with normal signs of use: slight marks and superficial scratches on the top, wood patina consistent with age. Stable structure.
