This Art Deco piece embodies the sophistication of the 1930s, combining decorative refinement with generous functionality. Its mahogany structure is enhanced by a veneer of thuya burl with warm hues and striking natural patterns. The top section opens with a glass door adorned with a bevelled oval glass, framed by thuya leaves. It reveals a spacious storage area, ideal for displaying precious objects or glassware. The finely chiselled pull handle, shaped like a laurel crown, adds a touch of discreet elegance. Just below, a sliding drawer provides an additional surface – perfect for placing a book, glasses, or serving as a display area. The lower section features a carefully marqueted door, opening to two adjustable shelves mounted on brackets, allowing for modular organisation. It features the same sculpted handle as the upper section, ensuring aesthetic coherence. The furniture's uprights form fluted columns that extend down to the olive wood feet, which are also fluted. This piece stands out for its storage capacity, impeccable finishes, and typically Art Deco lines. A centrepiece for enthusiasts of period furniture, both decorative and functional. Period: Early 20th century. Excellent condition after restoration in our cabinetmaking workshop. Waxed finish.
