A pair of bronze candlesticks with neoclassical decoration. The model features a fluted baluster shaft resting on a circular base adorned with gadroons, beaded friezes, and stylised leaf motifs. The circular binet is highlighted by a beaded frieze. The whole presents a symmetrical and finely chiselled decoration. Careful foundry work, characteristic of French decorative productions from the late 19th or early 20th century, made in the Louis XVI style. The candlesticks have a uniform old gilded patina. There are slight signs of use, micro-scratches, and visible marks of time, with no deformation or repairs. The bases are stable. Sold as a pair. No visible signature or hallmark.
