Ceramic wall tile glazed, created by Roland Zobel (1945-2004) for his workshop **Les Cyclades** in Anduze. This composition represents a stylised fish with a naive and expressive design, characteristic of the poetic universe of the ceramist. The glazes in shades of green, beige, brown, and red offer beautiful depth and highlight the delicately sculpted relief of the decoration. The work perfectly illustrates Roland Zobel's artistic language, whose creations are inspired by an imaginary bestiary populated by fish, birds, and suns, realised in a free, colourful, and immediately recognisable aesthetic. Trained at the Beaux-Arts in Bourges and then at the International School of Ceramics in Faenza, Italy, Zobel developed a unique production in his Cévennes workshop from the 1950s, which is now sought after by collectors. This tile can be displayed alone as a wall piece or integrated into a composition of several tiles. Vintage.
