A beautiful set of six ironstone dinner plates with an orientalist design, combining antique charm and timeless elegance, by Saint-Amand & Hamage Nord, “Byzantin” model. Their delicate frieze of scrolls and small stylized flowers is inspired by Byzantine art, which was very popular at the turn of the 20th century. The design, printed in shades of deep blue-green, reveals the refinement of the Saint-Amand factory, renowned for the precision of its decorations and the quality of its glazes. Each plate features a slightly different pattern in the intensity of the color—a subtle variation typical of the semi-artisanal work of Belle Époque earthenware factories. Stamped Saint Amand and Hamage, Byzantin model. Beautiful vintage condition, without chips or cracks, with a beautiful enamel sheen and some subtle signs of age: patina, very slight cracks, some minor chips on the edges, and a few micro-scratches from use (see photos). Diameter 23 cm. A refined and decorative series, perfect for a classic chic ambiance or a family home.
