Console table in Shou Sugi Ban finish.

Oak console table with Shou Sugi Ban finish. Composed of antique elements. The finish is Shou Sugi Ban, the Japanese technique in which wood is charred to harden and preserve it. A technique with centuries-old roots that is once again central to wabi-sabi interiors. The size and carbonisation, combined with the turned spindle legs, give the table a sculptural quality. Wear and patina consistent with age. Minor scratches and dents.
