Set of 2 Hayat Brothers Roorkee Camping Safari Chairs

This original set of 2 hayat roorkee campaign safari chairs from the 1960s is in excellent condition. The black leather shows a nice, minimal patina on both chairs. The wooden frames, in mahogany, are in very good condition. The tensioning cables are all in order, all fittings are tight and undamaged. Individual sale possible. The safari roorkee chair was developed by hayat brothers in pakistan for british officials in 1933 and was used on safaris. Hayat developed a model that can be quickly dismantled, yet is stable and comfortable. High-quality materials such as rosewood, mahogany and the best leather were used.
