Wall console in Louis XV style, probably made in the 19th century or the first half of the 20th century. This type of furniture is designed to be placed against a wall (often under a mirror). The base is made of gilded bronze or richly worked brass. The top is made of sea green or antique green marble, characterised by its marked white and dark veins. The style is purely rocaille (Louis XV), recognisable by its curved lines, S-shaped or cabriole legs, open shell motifs, acanthus scrolls, and its central stretcher adorned with a floral ornament. The thick marble, cut in a corbin beak shape, is intact and in very good condition. Width 80, depth 29, height 85.
