“Megaphos / Sistrah” pendant lamp by Otto Müller – 1930s

Megaphos pendant lamp (licensed to the brand) designed by C.F. Otto Müller for Sistrah Licht GmbH, dating from the 1930s. It consists of a multi-level shade in clear and opal glass, comprising five distinct elements: a white opal glass top cap, a transparent bowl marked "Megaphos, " two interlocking opal glass rings, and a central frosted glass cup. The entire structure is supported by a nickel-plated metal frame with a tubular suspension and circular ring, giving it a technical yet sculptural aesthetic. This lamp perfectly embodies the functional Bauhaus/Art Deco spirit: it provides soft, even light thanks to its ingenious diffusion, while minimizing glare.
