Two small pouring bottles Röd Rubin

A pair of small ceramic pouring flasks in Röd Rubin, designed by Arthur Percy for the Swedish manufacturer Gefle Porslinsfabrik. Created in the mid-20th century, the Röd Rubin collection is one of Arthur Percy’s iconic productions for Gefle, recognisable by its ruby red glaze, here combined with a golden decoration. Spherical shape, set on a small annular foot with a fully gilded loop handle, elegant decoration of stylised leaves. The pouring neck, slightly flared and also edged with gold, is closed by its original small round stopper. A number 93 is visible under the base of one of the pieces. In beautiful vintage condition with visible signs of age, wear and rubbing of the gilding, particularly on the handles, fine usage scratches and crazing of the glaze. A small chip at the foot of one of the pieces. Both stoppers are present (see photos). Height 9.5 cm, diameter at the widest point 10 cm, length of the spout handle 13 cm, depth 7 cm. Estimated capacity approximately 30 cl. Ruby red and gold: a surprisingly contemporary presence for this Swedish duo.
