Alpho Alphonse Mouton earthenware jug

Anthropomorphic pitcher in slipware, attributed to the Alphonse Mouton workshops (Alpho). France, circa 1950–1960. Spherical, bulging body reminiscent of a fruit shape, covered in a deep green glaze and topped with a leaf-like collar in polychrome brown-manganese slip. Handle and spout mimic a plant stem adorned with its matching round stopper. Marked underneath the base with the shape number "330" and the workshop signature "Alpho". Height: 14 cm. Width: 15 cm. Depth: 12 cm. Very good condition. Original stopper present, no chips or cracks.
