Baccarat, pair of two-light candelabra, Bambou Tors model.

Elegant pair of two-light candelabra in moulded Baccarat crystal, model "Bamboo Twist", one of the most iconic designs from the Lorraine manufacture. Its twisted spiral ribs, inspired by bamboo stems, enliven the base, shaft, and arms with a vibrant play of reflections. Each candelabrum rests on a circular base with a gadrooned edge, from which rises a twisted baluster shaft topped with a bowl. From this springs a bouquet of palms bearing two volute arms of light, on either side of a faceted central dagger. The tulip-shaped arms, with scalloped edges, rest on wide poly-lobed bobeches adorned with pendants: an octagonal faceted button holding a long prism-like drop with a point. Mounting rings in metal. Placed on a mantelpiece, a console, or as a centrepiece, these candlesticks bring the brilliance and sparkle characteristic of Baccarat crystal. Mark: round Baccarat stamp at the base. Period: 20th century. Material: moulded and cut crystal, metal mounts. Dimensions (per candelabrum): Height: approximately 33 cm, Width: approximately 24.5 cm, Base diameter: approximately 13 cm. Condition: good overall condition, clear crystal. Minor chip at the tip of one of the daggers, visible in the photographs. Light signs of use consistent with age. Matched pair, sold together.
