Rare Italian modernist console from the mid-century by Ico Parisi, crafted in a refined combination of light walnut and darker cherry wood. The walnut gives the piece a soft and warm tone, while the cherry inlay on the top creates a deep, almost luminous chevron pattern that draws the eye without overpowering the form. The proportions are fine, slender, and very typical of Parisi in the second half of the 1950s, when his work often evolved alongside designers he had previously collaborated with, such as Paolo Buffa, and the broader Italian modernist language shaped by figures like Gio Ponti. One of the most beautiful details is the structure of the legs: sculptural, tapered, and ending with that characteristic Italian "boot" profile, a discreet yet expressive gesture that gives the console its personality. The drawers feature Parisi's clean recessed frames with rounded cherry handles, and the dovetail assembly is sharp. The raised edge on the back of the top adds a small architectural line, maintaining a taut and controlled silhouette. The console has been fully restored; the finish is soft, even, and the wood is in excellent overall condition.
