Danish teak 4 bay shelving unit in the style of Poul Cadovius, 1960s

This Danish teak shelving unit is reminiscent of the iconic 1960s modular furniture designed by Poul Cadovius and was manufactured at the same time. It has been fully renovated and upcycled. Overall set size is H: 198 / W: 220/ D: 20 cm. This set is an entirely modular shelving system with twenty four shelves veneered in teak, hanging on solid wood rails with solid brass hangers. The wall unit can be arranged at one’s will. The shelves can be placed higher or lower, using an easy mounting system of regular slots all along the rail. The most striking feature is beautiful golden-dark honey teak wood on the shelves with delicate but dense grain. This set can add a touch of a mid-century modern style to any interior. This set consists of: 24 shelves, 53.5 cm wide, 20 cm depth, Brass hardware, 5 wooden rails 198 cm long. The unit has been fully renovated and upcycled. The wood has been sanded down and finished with several layers of satin lacquer. We have used all the shelves that had swollen or damaged edges and other problems and trimmed them to even less than 60 cm. Brass hangers have been cleaned, and old, bent brass screws replaced with new ones. All components fit well and are fully functional. Overall, this set is in fantastic condition.
