Caldas ceramic Portugal large plate lobster relief decoration

Large decorative plate in glazed terracotta, from the workshops of Caldas da Rainha (Portugal) around 1960. Spectacular marine decoration in very high relief, featuring a central lobster surrounded by seaweed, shells, and sandy elements, finely modelled and richly glazed. Large size, beautiful decorative presence. Condition: generally good condition. Note: lobster's antennae missing, an old and common defect on this type of relief ceramic (visible in the photos). No chips or cracks elsewhere. Dimensions: – Diameter: 30 cm.
