Portuguese Pottery Palissy Ware Plate

This plate was made in the majolica style most likely in portugal. It may be attributed to mark willfred, but not authenticated. It has a signature or marking on the back but unable to decipher. This is a really nice 30cm plate with minimal damage — one of the claw legs has been sympathetically repaired (see pictures). The plate resembles what you would see under the water with different textures and ceramic styles. These plates are highly sought after and no 2 plates are exactly the same. They are a work of art with all hand decorated work.
