19th century cradle in carved fruitwood – Antique planter

Charming antique fruitwood rocking cradle, dating from the late 19th century, beautifully carved with floral and foliage motifs. The piece rests on a turned and molded base, with a decorated central crosspiece, and retains beautiful original features: top balls, moldings, and a functional rocker. It has been repurposed as a planter with an interior zinc trim (old), making it a decorative piece of character today—perfect for a veranda, entryway, or winter garden. 👉 Old patina and beautiful homogeneity of the wood. 👉 Some signs of use and old woodworm pitting have stabilized, without structural weakness. 👉 One element missing from the base (see photo) Approx.
