Elegant Empire-style pocket table, made of mahogany burl veneer, revealing a warm patina with glowing red highlights. The oval, recessed top provides a welcoming surface while emphasising the geometric rigor characteristic of the imperial style. It features a small, discreetly integrated drawer in the belt. The entire piece rests on a base with two lyre-shaped sides framing a turned baluster, supported by arched feet. This salon table has a recessed stretcher shelf, adding refined stability and an architectural appearance to the piece. The balanced proportions and the simplicity of the ornaments reflect the neoclassical aesthetic of the First Empire, where the nobility of materials is combined with formal rigor. Ideal as a side table, accent furniture, or a display for precious objects, this table embodies attention to detail and the quality of craftsmanship from early 19th-century workshops. Period: early 19th century. Excellent condition after restoration in our cabinetmaking workshop. Finish: varnish.
