Magnificent little love seat or bench in molded and carved mahogany circa 1860. 2-seater bench, fluted. Rests on a sheathed base. Perfect stability. Its pediment, its apron, its armrests and uprights are molded with scrollwork decoration, garlands with floral motifs. This charming little bench is covered with a seat cushion that has been completely reupholstered recently, intact fabric, fully removable as well as two small quilts. In shades of old pink and ecru. Seat height: 45 cm. Its modest dimensions make it an elegant and intimate piece of furniture, perfect for a cozy lounge area, a bedroom or an entrance. The canework is intact, it brings a touch of airiness and lightness to the bench, while offering pleasant seating comfort. Very good condition as discovered.
