A Finnish mid-century sofa from the 1950s, upholstered in deep grey Rose Uniacke mohair velvet. The design is simple and elegant, with a shaped back and soft, low arms that give the sofa a relaxed feel. The mohair velvet has a rich surface and noticeable sheen, catching the light and shifting in tone as you move around the piece. The birch legs have been lightly stripped and French polished, bringing back their natural warmth against the darker fabric. The sofa has been fully restored and is in excellent condition. It has been newly upholstered with new padding and calico beneath the upholstery, while the birch legs have been carefully refinished.
