Executive desk in rosewood – Fabricius & Kastholm – Denmark – 1960

Kastholm – 1960s Majestic Danish executive desk from the 1960s, designed by Preben Fabricius & Jørgen Kastholm for Alfred Kill International. A remarkable piece with generous proportions and spectacular rosewood featuring very expressive and symmetrical grain. The top rests on an elegant architectural base made of cast aluminium, connected by a long rosewood crossbar. The desk incorporates two drawers very discreetly integrated into the top: once closed, their fronts almost entirely blend into the line of the desk. Dimensions: L 196 × D 98 × H 74 cm. Overall in good vintage condition with signs of use consistent with its age, only a few superficial scratches on the top. It is also worth noting that on one corner of the top, there is a small area of approximately 4 cm² showing a lack of varnish/finish, the origin of which is unknown, as well as a small chip on the edge. These defects are photographed in detail and do not affect the structure or use of the desk.
