This superb zoomorphic terrine by Michel Caugant represents a roe deer, true to the rural and artisanal world that has made the Caugant brand renowned. Entirely handmade and painted, it bears the authenticity inscription under its base: "This piece in genuine earthenware has been entirely made by hand, I offer it to you exclusively, Michel Caugant." An antique piece that has now become a true collector's item. The pâté dish consists of two parts: a hollow base and a lid sculpted in the shape of an animal. Its decorative presence is strong, ideal for a farmhouse kitchen, a collection of animal pottery, or a characterful vintage decoration. Very good vintage condition. Small discreet chip on the tip of one horn (easily reducible with felt). Interior with fine surface crazing, typical of old earthenware. Normal wear under the base. Dimensions: height: 22.5 cm, length: 25.5 cm, depth: 13 cm. Weight: 1.180 kg. A rare, expressive, and warm piece, perfect for lovers of animal pottery and authentic objects.
