Very large ministerial desk in Louis XVI style with 5 front drawers with a key, back in trompe l'oeil. Decorated with brass wood and a bronze Bacchus mask on the sides, bronze asparagus on the feet, and smooth bronze rings and hooves. 2 side pull-outs can slide out to provide even more workspace. The leathers are original and therefore show signs of use: dulled gilding, marks, and small impacts: new leathers can be fitted by me at the buyer's expense - approximately €1000 for the 3 pieces from Fey, an art leatherworker in Paris - Please note a slight bowing of the top at the front due to weight, this desk is very heavy. A truly remarkable model due to its rare dimensions, I have not seen one of this size before, 200 X 100 cm excluding pull-outs. EPOCH / Napoleon III circa 1890.
