Elegant plate in fine Gien earthenware, with a superb blue decoration inspired by the earthenware of the Manufacture de Lille: central rosette, lambrequins in reserve on the edge, scrolls and florets in blue monochrome on an ivory white background. A very graphic and symmetrical motif, typical of Lille models from the 17th and 18th centuries, revisited by Gien. Founded in 1821, the Gien factory perpetuates exceptional French know-how: paste, enamel and decorations made in the Loire Valley, for pieces with a chic and timeless charm. Stamped Gien: the stamp allows the plate to be dated to the 60s-70s. Diameter 25 cm. Very good condition, very shiny, no micro-scratches from use. For collectors or perfect as an elegant mismatched service.
