DESCRIPTION: Superb and rare deep plate in fine earthenware, a high-quality production from the famous and prestigious manufacture Jules Vieillard & Cie in Bordeaux, dating from the late 19th century. Entirely hand-painted, this plate is a magnificent example of the historicist productions that made the Bordeaux manufacture renowned. The polychrome "radiant" decor, inspired by the Rouen style, consists of a central rosette and a rich frieze of lambrequins and floral motifs on the rim.
