This 18th-century Spanish six plank chest is crafted in a simple, artisanal manner from just six solid oak planks. Over the centuries, the chest has developed a beautifully aged character, with a weathered patina and authentic signs of use. The hinges were probably replaced about a hundred years ago, with remnants of the original fittings preserved. There is also a carved motif still visible on the lid. A sober, characteristic example.
