Pair of Italian Florentine wall sconces in metal and glass flowers – 1950s–1970s. Stunning pair of vintage Florentine sconces, adorned with around twenty flowers per sconce. Each flower consists of 5 beautifully cut glass petals, shaped like faceted drops (cut water droplet), designed to reflect and diffuse light elegantly. The petals are held by a patinated metal flower centre, ribbed, secured by a small central screw. The whole forms a very bright and elegant flower, typical of Italian Florentine sconces. Typical work from Italian workshops of the 50s–70s, combining painted metal in toleware style, handmade green leaves, and a cream patinated structure.
