Pair of Art Deco Walnut Bedside Tables with Curved Cabinets, Czechoslovakia
Beautiful pair of Art Deco bedside tables produced in Czechoslovakia in the 1930s. The tables feature elegant, flowing lines, beautifully figured walnut veneer and a distinctive asymmetrical design typical of the Art Deco period. Each bedside table combines a curved cabinet with a door, two drawers and an open storage compartment. The rounded edges, sculptural bases and original orange resin handles create a wonderful combination of materials, shapes and colours. The tables are mirror images of each other, making them an ideal matching pair for either side of a bed. Both pieces are preserved in original vintage condition, showing signs of age and use. One table has a visible gap along the edge of its curved cabinet door, which does not affect the opening or closing of the door. The other has a burn mark on the top surface. Both imperfections are clearly documented in the photographs. A beautiful and characterful example of Czechoslovak Art Deco furniture. **A matching dresser from the same bedroom set is also available. Please contact us for further information.** Sold as a pair.
